STUDIO BOOK aND EXHIBITION 2008 & 2009

STUDIO: Australian Painters on the Nature of Creativity is a book, DVD and exhibition project that showcases 61 of Australia’s most respected and important painters working in their studio environment. The project began in 2002 and came to fruition in July 2007 with a book launch and exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra. The exhibition went on to be shown in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in 2008 and 2009.

INDIA PHOTO EXHIBITION IN 2007

An exhibition of Ian's photographs of India (along with contributions by other Masterfile photograhers) was held in Berlin Germany in March and later In Delhi, India in 2007. This exhibition was sponsored by the National Geographic Channel and the India Tourism Board.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS IN 2005-6

In 2005 and 2006 Ian Lloyd gave workshops in conjunction with Canon in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok and also conducted a day long workshop in Hong Kong.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS IN 2004

The National Geographic Channel Australia and Agfa Australia presented 3 full day digital photography seminars by Ian Lloyd in December 2004 in Sydney and Melbourne. More workshops are planned for 2005.


SEMINARS IN AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND IN 2003

The National Geographic Channel and Kodak Australia presented Through the Lens, a two-hour seminar by Ian Lloyd at the following venues:

    • Sydney's Powerhouse Museum in Sept.2003
    • Auckland Town Hall in September, 2003
    • Melbourne Museum in October, 2003.


DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY SEMINARS IN 2002

A digital photography seminar sponsored by Sony & The National Geographic Channel was presented by Ian Lloyd in Singapore on March 9, 2002 and in Hong Kong on March 16, 2002. These two half day workshops featured Ian's digital photography work with the new Sony F707 camera as well as his photography for the National Geographic Society.


SPIRIT OF ASIA EXHIBITION IN 2000

An exhibition by R. Ian Lloyd of his photography for National Geographic Society publications and others over the past 20 years toured Asia in 2000. View the photographs in the exhibition. The Exhibition The Spirit of Asia exhibition displayed 80 prints of the photographer's work taken over the past 20 years and covered 20 countries in the Asian region. The images were a selection of Ian's photography for National Geographic and other publications and were displayed 28"x38" and 32"x48" using a new digital printing process. The exhibition toured six cities in Asia - Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Taipei, Manila and Hong Kong - between February and June 2000. Ian also conducted one day professional workshops in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Manila as part of the Kodak Mentor Program.
